RIENDS
of Rena Kirdar Sindi gathered at a soirée at Christofle on
Madison Avenue in New York to celebrate the release of her new book,
Be My Guest: Theme Party Savoir Faire.
Among
the many guests were Alex and Alex Von Furstenburg, Serena
and Samantha Boardman, Cornelia Guest, Tomas and Marean
Pompidou, Frederic Fekkai, Michael and Ginny Donahue, Sally
and Rufus Albemarle, Muffy Potter Aston, Rachel Peters, Amanda
Cutter Brooks, Tory Burch, and Narcisco Rodriquez.
While
guests sipped Champagne Perrier Jouët, Dale N. Dewey,
president of Christofle Americas, named Sindi the first "Ambassadrice
Christofle" and presented her with a "Privilege
Service" of Christofle Silver flatware.
Christofle
created the award to honor the tradition of arts de la table.

Missing
from the table, however, was Champagne Perrier Jouët CEO Jean-Marie
Barillère who met Dewey earlier in the year at PJ's 100th
anniversary bash.
The
famed Fleur de Champagne, or "Flower Bottle," was
subsequently sent to Sindi to congratulate her on both accounts.
Barillère
said he wanted to send a subtle message to Sindi, in hopes that
future parties would be Christofle- and Fleur-filled.
