ARK and Wiggie Bitter, owners of Scalamandre, filled their salon on
New York’s Third Avenue with spring bouquets of tulips and
lilies to salute the 12th Annual Bunny Hop chairs Leslie
Coleman, Mary Darling, Leslie Heaney and their supporters from
the Associates Committee of the Society of Memorial
Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center.
Guests
included Debbie Bancroft, Eugenie Niven, Win and Mary
Rutherfurd, Jennifer Creel, Hillary Dick, Somers Farkas, Alexia
Hamm, Melanie and David Holland, Lisa Jackson, Jason Grant,
Catherine Aaron, Bob Bitter, Chessie Breen , Town & Country’s
Mike Cannon, Alexandra Mandis, Amy Rosi.
Also
R. Couri Hay, Ginger Bort, Alexandra Wernick, James Eisdorfer,
Elizabeth Fuller, Lauren Thierry Watkins, Marilyn White, Paulette
Smyth, Susan Branch, Ashley Potter, Sabine Rothman and Thaddeus
Kromelis.
They
all enjoyed glasses of Champagne Veuve Clicquot, which was the
perfect drink to accompany caterer Peter Callahan’s
delights such as tiny ice cream cones filled with creme fraiche
and caviar and thin black rolls of chicken, wasabi and pickled
ginger, wrapped in nori.
Representatives
of the Bunny Hop’s Grand Marshals Raggedy Ann and Raggedy Andy
were the scene stealers of the evening.
Scalamandre
gave them fashion makeovers, creating new outfits made from the
house’s “bunny toile,” called McGregor's Garden, inspired
from a 19th century waistcoat lining.
The
dolls were out in force and many were sold with proceeds going to
the SMSKCC Department of Pediatrics. |
