ARBELLA sparkled in the early spring sunshine. People travelled
from all parts of the world to honor New York’s own
Denise Rich and others at the Children for
Peace Gala.
Founded by Adnan
Khashoggi, it is now carefully tended by his beautiful
wife Lamia and Florida philanthropist
Debbi Mace.
Stephen Webster
and beautiful wife Anastasia were
major sponsors. The divine Prima Donna Monserrat Caballe
and her equally talented daughter Montserrat
Marti entertained.
An English 15-year-old
Rebecca Tate wowed the crowd with her voice.
Simon Cowell has already signed her!
Marc Rich led
the Rich family's applause for Mom Denise, Dara Sowell,
Maya Swarovski and Bernd Beetz (head of COTY USA).
Italian Kleidy Kadiu
performed and Ana Obregon was MC. It
was a glittering crowd in a glamorous setting.

We’re
All Italian
HE Fabulous Boys’ Towns of Italy 65th annual Ball of the Year
at The Pierre was a great testament to the charity’s significant
work.
Lainie Kazan, who called herself
an "honorary Italian," was honored with an Entertainer of the
Year Award. She later wowed the crowd with a performance reminding
all she is as much a Broadway star as she is a comedienne.
The other honorees included Francesca
Gumina Braschi, Lee Rizzuto, Jr. and Anthony Maltese
who received the most thunderous round of applause of the evening,
led by his adoring wife Cynthia.
